From Africa to South America and everywhere in between, Christopher has been able to connect with locals through his mutual love for their delicious and unique cuisine. Tasting Traditional Dishes

Being an intrepid explorer, Christopher loves nothing more than tasting the traditional dishes of each culture he visits. From sampling street food from a local market to trying a typical dish at a family-run restaurant, he embraces all food experiences with open arms.

Recently in Peru, Christopher decided to try ceviche, the country’s national dish. It was prepared with fresh catches of the day, some onions, and a citrusy dressing made with lime juice. Christopher loved it so much that he tried it several times during his stay.

Enjoying Local Flavors

No matter where in the world he goes, Christopher makes sure to savor the local flavors that each destination offers. On his most recent trip in Tanzania, he sampled the popular Ugali dish, which is maize flour cooked with hot water until it forms a paste-like consistency. For an extra dose of flavor, he added a delicious tomato sauce.

He also enjoyed sampling the many varieties of fruits available in East Africa. Some of his favorite treats included mangos, avocados, paw paws, and pineapples. They were sweet, juicy and extremely refreshing.

Experimenting With New Ingredients

As someone who loves to explore cooking styles and techniques, Christopher often experiments with new ingredients, especially when visiting areas known for their abundance of fresh ingredients like fish, spices, and vegetables. In Morocco, he tried making a traditional couscous dish using lamb, root vegetables, and couscous itself. It was a tasty success!

He is also a fan of South American cuisine so while in Ecuador, he cooked up some empanadas and some spicy chili dishes made with quinoa and other native ingredients.

Exploring Local Markets

Whenever Christopher travels, he loves researching the local markets to check out all things food-related. From exotic spices to colorful vegetables and fragrant herbs, there is always something to explore.

In India, he stumbled upon a bustling market filled with flavors from around the country. He bought some turmeric, mace, cardamom, and coriander to take home for his own kitchen. He also found freshly baked naan bread, vibrant green spinach, and even a variety of tea leaves.

From French bistros to Mexican taquerias, Christopher is a passionate traveler, food explorer, and adventurer. Whether he is indulging in the cuisines of East Asia or experimenting with unique African flavors, he always has an awesome experience that he can’t wait to share with others.
